Agriculture: Meat Regulations

I continue to work with the Ministries of Health and Agriculture to ensure that the new meat processing regulations continue to be adjusted and adapted to meet the real needs of local processors. Recently, I worked collaboratively with the government to get some adjustments to the meat processing regulations which prevented some long time abattoirs from closing. I will continue to monitor the impacts of these regulations on our local meat producers and processors and work with government to ensure that the regulations are adapted to the real needs of industry while protecting consumer health.
