I held a regional workshop on Tuesday, June 21 with Cariboo meat producers, Ministry of Health, Northern Health, and the BC Centre for Disease Control officials. The first in a series of workshops to be held on meat slaughter regulations, participants explored the current regulatory regime in the province. Topics of discussion ranged from provincial meat inspection regulations to licensing to animal waste disposal regulations.
