Federal Government ahead of B.C.!

Last week the federal government announced that it would be conducting two independent reviews of fracking. This is good news. We don’t know the terms of reference for the reviews yet, but check back here for more information as we get it.  It is unfortunate that B.C. has not shown any leadership on this front, as urged by myself and the Independent MLA for Delta South, Vicki Huntington, in June of this year. The government needs to recognize that there are real concerns around GHG emissions, water usage, and health and safety associated with fracking.  I hope that the federal government will be able to fill the void left by the province.
