The Independent MLA for Cariboo North has begun publishing copies of his travel expense claim forms on his website: http://bobsimpsonmla.ca/about-bob/bobs-expenses/
“Travel expenses are a legitimate part of doing business as an MLA and serving my constituents in Victoria when the Legislature is in session,” said Bob Simpson. “I see no reason why they should not be made available to the public on a regular basis.”
Earlier this year, the legislature began publishing annual totals of travel expenses and per diems for each MLA. Simpson is voluntarily taking the extra step of publishing the travel claim forms he submits to the legislative comptroller. These forms include an itemized breakdown of weekly expenses, including flights, accommodation (when not in Victoria), taxi fares, ferry fares, parking costs, and the $61 per day living allowance.
The MLA for Cariboo North has provided links on his website to other publicly available information regarding MLA’s salaries and other forms of remuneration.

Good for you Bob …
Hopefully more openess by MLA’s can lead to people beginning to have a higher degree of belief in government accountability.
